Illustration Friday: Jungle

Somewhere in the jungle there's a skateboarding lion.
Hey, it's possible :), okay maybe not.

Illustration Friday: Robot

I love creating robots. I painted this

loosely and quickly in Photoshop.

So, who's taking a shot at our metallic friend?

Illustration Friday: Travel

To the Airport!
Sketch with just a tint of color.

FUN!

Illustration Friday: Protest

Just a sketch this week. Sorry no time for a finish piece.

It's a mock-up for a kid's picture book. I think you guys will be

able to figure out what the story is about :)

Illustration Friday: Surveillance

Just a colorized sketch for today, too busy.

Illustration Friday: Worn

Worn Jackets love giving high five.

Mop Hair UFO

No Illustration Friday for today.
Not sure what happened over at IF,

but didn't receive an email with today's word.
Anyway, here's a sketch for today.

Illustration Friday: Tension

Who will win? I like Cats and Dogs so as far

as I'm concern it's a tide.

More Tentacles!!!

If you haven't seen it yet, check out the Community Art Blog
created by the talented Illustrator Cam Kendell. It's a fun blog
and a great concept featuring several illustrators.

Illustration Friday: Liquid

Mad scientist love drinking strange liquids.

Illustration Friday: Future

In the future, there will be "Robot Dog Walkers".

Good for you, bad for your dog.

Illustration Friday: Tribute

This is my version of Gumby, all dressed up.
The original character was created by Art Clokey.
The design of the character is real simple but fun.
To take a look at Gumby and his friend Pokey click here.

Illustration Friday: Farewell

Not much to say about this one other
than it was fun to create.

Illustration Friday: Train

Yahoo! Down the train track we go. I simplified the
actual look of the train, so don't look to close. What I really
wanted to do was capture the action. Believe it or not
I think I could have exaggerated the movements even more.

Illustration Friday: Wild

What's this lion singing? Click here!

I was going to draw a Dachshund biting a Lion,

but at the last minute decided not to.

You have to watch the video (link above)

to see what I mean. :)

Got a better song? Let me know.

Illustration Friday: Urban

Here's my new art for Illustration Friday.
We have some great buildings here in NYC,
but I really love the old ones. This guy is a

bit scary, but he was fun to create.

Illustration Friday: Egg

Mister Egg loves watching late-night TV.

Illustration Friday: Swim

The final episode! A two pager.
Had fun doing this and it was very challenging. Whew!

From now on, just single art images.

Illustration Friday: Eye Glasses

Episode 22!
Keeping this strip going has been a real creative challenge.
A few of the things I've learned after doing 22 of these strips are:
1) Keep the Character Design simple.
2) Try to make all the images flow together.

3) Try to make the story line work although the
    strip is improvisational.

Hopefully I succeeded in some of these.

Now the trick is to bring the story to a conclusion. :)
